today i am going to discuss one more rising social evil-child labor.Child labor is modern type of social evil that has risen in late twenty century and its rate is getting boosted day by day.
DEFINITION- It may be defined as the use of children below 14 years in any type of economical,industrial and household work.
CAUSES- The main cause of child labor is poverty,lack of education and  lack of social security. Children are preferred more as a worker because they demand less pay,do more work and can be easily recriminated  It was found that major child labor are from schedule tribes, schedule classes and backward areas.
CENSUS- It is found in surveys that India is home to largest number of child labor followed by poor countries of Africa. In India it was found that the count increased from 11.28 million in 1991 to 12.60 million in 2001.Nearly 400,000 children labor,mostly girls between 7-14 years were found in state of Andhra Pradesh itself.
LAWS AND ACT'S- child labor act was passed in India by national government of India in 1986 but was re-enforced in 2004 and strict rules were made against this practice.

i now will post about social evils in india.

so i first start with female harassment in india.
this social evil is on a great rise in india.discrimination of women on basis of gender,caste,economic status etc comes under gender discrimination act and is banned by indian constitution.
the maximum number of cases of  women harassment were repoted from uttar pardesh and Delhi in last three months.The national women commission (NWC)  received 2853 complaints from utter pardesh following 526 from delhi,376 from rajasthan, 237 from haryana and 139 from madhay pardesh.
well we can not see these stats as true because more than 90% of women don't report to police because of social bars and male dominating socity.
the cases of harrasment can be daily seen around us at buses, roads, market etc.this habbit is increasing because we dont care because they do not belong to us but we forget that this can also happen to our known ones too.
lack of social values,low educated society and no firm actin by police.but our new coming socity is aware of such evils and also making others aware.

-statics reveled that India has 17 million child labourers--highest in the world.
-53% of girls under age group 5-12 are illiterate.
-about 17% of slum children of world belongs to India.
-314,700 children lives in streets of Mumbai,same in kolkata,100,000 in new Delhi and about 963,000 in other cities of India.
MAKING MOVIES SUCH AS "SLUMDOG MILLIONARE" AND WINNING OSCAR WILL NOT HELP THEM!!!

-kids at Mali only spend about 2 years on average in school.they start working between ages of 10-14.
-American adults spend more time in education then anyone.
-over 59million children in India have no access to school.
-out of 27 million children born in India,2 million do not survive to celebrate their first birthday.
